![]() ![]() To start using the Move to iOS app: Tap Continue. If you dont have the Move to iOS app, you can tap the QR code button on your new iOS device and scan the QR code using the camera on your Android device to open the Google Play Store. I'm sure there's a good reason why it is the way it is, but holy shit this is a huge dealbreaker if it can't be fixed. On your Android device, open the Move to iOS app. I tried Googling a bit and apparently there's no real solution to this, besides paying for some shady services which just seems ridiculous to me. Apparently some genius thought it's a good idea to only use backups from iCloud (WhatsApp on Android uses Google Drive, which is no option on iOS) as a valid option. However what really started to annoy me was when I tried to use WhatsApp on my new phone. Now I was willing to sacrifice some data such as pictures, as I'm sure I would be able to find a way sooner or later to recover it and transfer it to my new phone. After that I tried MobileTrans which failed me as wel (didn't provide an QR-code which was necessary for the proces). I spent 7 hours during work trying to get the damn thing to work to no avail. The Switch to iOS app provided by Apple just kept on getting stuck, failing with errors or sometimes even crashing. Let's just say that the experience of switching has been driving me absolutely crazy today, which is a damn shame because the device itself is amazing. So after never owning an iPhone before despite owning several Apple products, I finally pulled the trigger on an 13 Pro Max a couple of weeks ago, replacing my S9 Edge+. Seriously disappointing and really felt like venting and possibly getting some help/support. Today has been different because it has been such a fucking atrocious experience, which definitely pisses me off for the money I paid for this device. The main difference between MobileTrans and AnyTrans is the supported platform. Third, I generally never post things like this online or anything like that. I like their products and can see why many people around the globe feel the same. ![]() Second, I'm not here to hate on Apple or iPhone. ![]() I read the official guide by Apple, which seemed like it would be a hassle free experience. Also I generally know my way around tech so I really wasn't worried at all about the upcoming process.
